Default HELP PLEASE: Advice on replacing wheel bearing

Hi all. I am doing a L/H/F wheel bearing replacement on my old MY00 Rex. What should be a simple task has turned out not to be! Upon trying to remove the driveshaft from the hub it was evident that it was seized in, so I took the hub and shaft out as one. I sprayed loads of rost off on it and then put it in the hydraulic press. It still won't budge. I don't want to exert tooooo much pressure so thought I would check that there is no other form of retainer other than the hub nut. Oxy is the next step but thought i'd ask first.

Cheers
SC TER

EDIT: I got it. Was just F.T!!!! A combination of lots of rost off and 10 minutes under pressure in the press got it....

Cheers anyway. LOL

Thread can be deleated.

What i find hilarious is that even though you have sold your WRX you still end up working on it

get a spare nut for the end of the half shaft/cv joint, throw some crc down the splines, then spin the nut back on, but upside down so the flat base is facing out, then smash the shit out of it with a decent gympie, or a sledge hammer, should only take a few decent wacks to get it off

press's are nice, but don't offer that initial shock which will break all the surface rust hanging on to the splines of the cv joint..

Thats what I tries originally but it wouldn't move. You should have seen the state of the splines when it finally came out.
