06 STI Goals

Hey all,

Ok so I've recently spoken with Nic at Allstar Garage about getting a 06 STI fitted with a exhuast and verso tune, and I'm really happy with the quote and power estimations for such basic work. I quickly spoke with him about future plans and a goal of about 250kws atw and he made a few quick recommendations, so I thought I'd put it out here and see if anyone has any other suggestions/opinions. So far the list is....

Xforce 3" TBE
APS FMIC DR 725
APS CAI to suit
AVO 450 or 500 Turbo upgrade
There going to do the injectors also
Verso Tune

I'm a little worried about reliability, but Nic said the 2.5's are fine up to about 265kws without work on the interals.

I'd love to hear any thoughts or suggestions from all you guys.

Thanks

Sean & Nik both know there stuff.

Advantage with the 06/07 STI is they CRAVE the VERSO tune.

Can easily achieve 300HP ATW with minor Mods with the Piggy.

Before going all out for power, maybe do some basic mods, suspension & most importantly a good sports wheel alignment.

Suspension makes the car more fun IMHO, however everyone tends to float their boat differently.

Good luck :)

His desired 250kw atw is a shite load more power than an easily achievable 300HP atw.

250kw is around 330-335hp. Only 10% off

My 06 sti has just over 300awhp and 450+Nm with just exhaust, intake and tune. It certainly pushes you back in the seat and is alot of fun....but I think my next mods will definitely be in the suspension area, because you will be able to generate far higher G forces around a corner than you ever will accelerating.

I achieved the following with these mods:

GTPS02 turbo
Pwest FMIC
Pwest CAI
AVO silicon intake
unequal length headers
fuel pump
3" tbe
decapped injectors

IMO an AVO 500 would be too laggy for a daily driver if thats what your after and the GTPS02 is cheaper anyway :D

340 hp/254kw atw
