Aps Cai

Hey guys just got the APS CAI fitted earlier....ddnt take long just a bit of a pain getting the pod on.

Took it for a spin after letting it idle for abit for it to pick up on the comp. Then went around the block...must say it did spool alot and not move till fully spooled.....great induction noise i must add....after a while of driving it ddnt spool as much just more go and its running ok but feels like the K&N panel is better less lag i think....does that sound right?

what use think of the APS 65mm one btw!

cheers...

:D "better less lag"

You will need a retune. I got told that for me to go from k&n panel crap to apexi pod i will need a retune. It changes the way the AFM reads the air.

65mm wont need a retune the 70 or 75mm will need one tho
they the same as process west just in diff colour

If its been tuned to run a k&n panel then changing to a pod will def need a retune.

I think it's all in the mind - It seems like it's lagging more as you hear it spooling for 3 or 4 seconds before you get boost, giving the impression you've got heaps more lag than before.

the aps unit is cast, unlike...
the process west one (is like the mrt), bits of pipe welded onto a airflow meter housing.
