That's the secret -> load = Gas pressure behind the rings which helps bed them in <- (and avoids bore glazing)
and warm it up properly (below 2500) before giving it decent load though.

On a more serious note, i have been told heaps of different run in ways, just want to know if EVERY car is pre run in before its shipped to the dealer? Bit concerning that the dealers would thrash a car on run in. Or is this like a how long is a piece of string question?
