GT Pump vs Forced Performace vs Blouch

whats the difference in the td06-20g turbo between the brands?

EXPLICIT 09-03-2009 01:12 PM

I'd hazard a guess and say the 'stamp' each brand places on them. Many ways you can skin a cat, but its still a cat. :D

some say they have their own better performing wheels, but pretty much all the same shit

T-REXX 09-03-2009 08:01 PM

GTPUMPS is a Taiwanese Turbo
Forced Performance and Blouch are MHI turbos (meaning japan made by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries or otherwise knowns as MHI)

fa7boy 09-03-2009 08:20 PM

but power-wise they're the same right...? just differnent brand...

waxdass 09-03-2009 08:47 PM

potential for power is same

Forced Performance are one of the few Authorised Mitsubishi turbo builders outside of Japan. They use Mitsubishi components and build their turbos in their factory, situated in the USA.

GT Pumps is Taiwanese, and Blouch/Deadbolt apparently build their turbos from new and refurbished parts, although that doesn't mean they are shit.

Much of a muchness, but if the price is all same, go for the FP.

T-REXX 09-03-2009 09:47 PM

Blouch isnt a refurbished turbo.they are also an authorised MHI and GARRETT turbo dealer and build their turbos from scratch.. DEADBOLT i heard the other day are out of business..

BALISTC 10-03-2009 08:34 AM

Do Blouch actually build their Mitsubishi turbos on site, or do they just sell them and rebuild?

As far as I knew, FP was the only one....but things look to have changed since I was last researching turbos!

T-REXX 10-03-2009 08:48 AM

as far as i am told by them they build them on site..

Te housings they use are not a standard MHI housing.. they modify them and also make it to what ever specs you need.. they released the new BBK EVO turbo which is MHI based and rebuild it with new turbine, new rear housing, ported etc, and capable of making over 300kw@wheels and still spool up as fast as a stock turbo.
