Good old fuel pumps!

CAR: 2001 Bugeye WRX
MODS: 3" Exhaust, K&N Filter + Whiteline goodies.

Have left boost at stock levels untill now.

What Im getting: Dual Stage Boost control going in at RMS next week. ( Switch between stock boost and 14.8 or what ever is just before fuel cut )

In a month or so I'm getting the Ecutek ECu/Dyno tune at RMS.

So Im thinking of getting a new fuel pump as a VF34 will be 3 - 4 months away.

The Search is sh1t house to say the least so before you even bother saying ( Use the search ) why dont you give it a shot yourself. Ive searched Fuel Pump / Fuel Pumps etc etc and come up with crap.

Now the Walbro from what I hear isn't the best choice these days.. ( Comes as a bit of a shock to me! )

So what do you recomend?

I can fit a Walbro like this one LINK Thats not a big deal but if it gives my ECU dramas then forget it..

That and I dont want hell noisey!! I had that in my old RX7 and it shat me off big time.

Hmm.. while very sexy and stealth I bet its out of my budget.

Go with the Bosch.

Its not a straight swap as far as I'm aware and will require the tank to be modified to fit the Bosch pumps.

I have a Walbro from the guys at ASG and its hasn't faulted as yet.

Is it noisey? And are you running aftermarket ECU/Ecutek Tune?

looks like you can choose from the Walbro GSS342 or the Bosch 044

i havent heard of anyone having problems with walbro pumps, and it seems to be the easiest swap (you can diy) as it is a straight fit.

Awesome news.. Where can I pick one up from?

I know Ebay have them cheap cheap but I like to check them before I buy them!

I have a walbro and mine is fairly quiet. I thought it was the bosch that is noisey?
Pretty sure they have them on the shelf at MMS and Tenagah.

I only hear my Walbro prime on ignition and never hear it again.

The exhaust will probably drone the noise of the fuel pump out.

I'm sure the Bosch are the noisy pumps in comparison to the Walbro's

I have not head the Bosch pumps before so I cant really judge.

Whats wrong with Walbro pumps?

Drops in, reliable...for your level of mods, its going to be perfect.
