I think you should have slightly thicker tyre on an 01+ model. Something like a 225/40/18. I have 225/35/18 on my 18x7.5s on a GC. Also it would be tough to get the load rating in that size.

Yeah load rating i had a problem with my cg8 model as well
225 will they fit on a bugeye with out drama normally

trust me. you would'nt want 18" unknown for bugeye.
they will look like bicycle wheels on ur car. too small mate.

I have 235/35/19" unknowns before and I am still not satisfied.

self preference anyway.

NVRENUF 27-11-2005 12:59 PM

Yeah thats what i thought on my classic shape wrx 18inch just filled guard nicely..
though the bug eye giards are quite bigger to fill so ya would want 19inch 20 be good better but 19 more practical...

Ill be looking for 19inch maybe some deepish dish ones if possbile..

mr_psi 27-11-2005 05:16 PM

go the dish

18 inch only really works if its a racing style rim and the car is slammed. Otherwise it looks too small.

225/40 if your gonna get 18s for a bug eye though.
