I found this, looks like an online version of Subaru Fast, may come in handy.
Source: scoobynet Subaru FAST Online - Electronic Parts Catalogue EPC US/EU/JDM - ScoobyNet Its a russian site, there is a google translated link. I tested with my car and it brings it all up. I have the software for the pc EUR version but dont have JDM AUS disk... I would like to compare the results, expect a pm Rossco. |

Timing belt parts and replacement advice...
Hi all,
I've just bought a 2002 Subaru Outback with 225K on the clock (Vin JF2BH9KJB2G047295) It's a bit overdue for its 2nd routine timing belt change & looking for the best way to go about it... I found a non-OEM kit for $355.50 which comes with belt, idlers, tensioner, water pump & oil seals from Ultracheap Auto : Click here for the link with this kit on ebay. If this seems OK, then I need to find a mechanic to put these in. So wondering if this is the way to go and if I've selected the right parts and if anyone has any suggestions for a mechanic (I live in East Fremantle)... I would appreciate any help on this as I'm new to the world of the Subaru (and also new to this forum...). Cheers Jon |

Thanks for the reply,
Yes, OEM parts are of course preferred - shame they tend to be about twice the price or more... I haven't yet bought any parts and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with non-OEM parts or any website which compares different brands of non-OEM for for a Subaru or compares non-OEM to OEM parts or any recommendations for a particular brand / website used (or ones NOT to use !!). |
