Default inlet manifold adapters for 00/01 wrx heads

would like to know if any one has come accross inlet manifold adapters for 00 /01 wrx heads ( NON AVCS ) to take a 97 V3 STI inlet manifold.

strange I know , but I would like to mount a V3 manifold to a set of 00/01 heads

You can't do it with adapters. You have to cut the ends off and weld them onto the 97 manifold.

A guy in the UK makes different manifold adapters.
I've just spent 15 minutes looking but i cant remember his name.
He also makes the collars to make top feeds fit in the manifolds...

I'll try to find the paperwork with my collars to find his name...

BAM!

Looks like you have to extend the manifold though...

Ok another ? can I use the GD inlet manifold wire it for a gc8 and cut & weld a idle control valve into the manifold ?.

I dont wish to cut the V3 manifold and make it wider. I am thinking this may be a way around it . I may need to machine a throttle body adapter up.

Those adapters are useless. The ports are higher in the heads on late engines, hence further apart (across the engine). What's the point making adapters when the manifold has to be cut in half, extended and re-welded?

Use a 99 manifold, re-pin the TPS and fab a remote IAC valve if you're too tight to buy a programmable ECU.

yes there is no point cuting the manifold. If the Power fc will cope with the JUN264 cams I keep it. I see what can be done with the GD inlet manifold.

The Poofter-FC doesn't give a shit what cams you have as long as it gets a signal from the gear on the front. It won't run AVCS, and the TPS need to be corrected on some. If you care for idle speed control (I don't) you can remote mount the valve on a block and hose in-hose out it. 99 manifold would probably be the best option (unless you wanna fit a big top mount cooler) as it hasn't got TGV's.
