fuel light
 

hey. So i started my car this mornin to see the fuel light come on. Weird bit is the needle still says just under quarter. When i got home last night the light was not on. Why would the light be on if the needle is not on empty. Any thoughts? Wat should i beleive in regards to how much fuel i have. The light or the needle. Cheers. Luke

mine occasionally turns on when it hits just under a quarter but yeah fill it up :P

At least your fuel light works. Tried finding out when mine would come on and ran the tank dry...

same with me yesterday took it to its limit so went down to BP to fill it up, power was out so had 2 take the long drive home babying it hoping it would get there.
luckily i did

Fuel light should come on when there is 9L left in the tank.

The max I have driven with my fuel light on is 50km and the tank took 55L from 60L.

9L? is that an actual fact or some number that someones made up? i thought it was just when the float got to a certain level

pretty sure it says in the manual that when the light comes on, you have approx 9L left in your tank Matt

Yeah mine is dead accurate at 9L but if the car is parked on a downward slope it'll come on earlier till it levels out.

my car doesn't have a manual :P
