I've just fitted DBA 4000's slotted (front only) and DS2500 (front only) for $1,000 incl 1 hour labour. Don't remember the detail in between.
Jon suggested them as they are a very low dust pad, read good reviews on the current compound. Maybe consider the Yellow's as they are more race than the Reds but are not low dusting. I currently have the DS2500 in now which are nearly due for replacement, I was not that impressed with them very overrated pad especially for the money & I have had the common squealing issues which require me to pull them out to clean to make it stop.
yep same here with teh DS2500 have squealing issues...
on the stock rotor imo they a tard better then OEM pads haven tracked them yet...next tuning day is on the 10th..

might go next EBC red or Project Mu pads
the yellow stuff i think has to be warmed up not suited for streets read that some where

Paoluch...do it properly...put on DBA 5000's...buy the rotors only from wherever (ask MMS, Perth Brake Parts, Tu Speed) and I have a pair of 114.3 alloy hats you can have for $120 the pair...

With love from Paris :p, will ascertain whether the rotors are due for replacement once i get it rolling with a few heat cycles. Thanks again ladies :)

American Dave 30-06-2009 03:45 PM

Do rotors and pads at the same time Jme. New car deserves pads and rotors anyway I reckon.

EXPLICIT 30-06-2009 05:18 PM

Used rotors bed in new pads, have every intention on changing to new rotors/pads.
I have Dixcel Heat Treated and Slotted Rotors and Dixcel Type M Pads for Brembos. Awesome grip, and bugger all dust issues.
Is there such a thing with Brembo's? Mine are a nice colour of dark shaded gold after a week.

I would look at ALL alternatives to DBA rotors...
I think that DBA's are very over rated, they wear quickly, and are over priced.
considering they don't appear to be any better than RDA's in terms of quality.
