Try the Lucas equivalent to the Bendix pads. They bite like hell from cold and are (for me, not an issue) cheaper. Trust me, they're excellent pads, I use them on all hillclimb and short sprint events. They aren't good for track work though, fade real badly after 2 laps at Barbs and Collie.

Credibility? Yep, I had them on when I was second outright at Meelup Hillclimb 2006.

Lucas code for an MY00 WRX is also DB1170.
I was paying about $75.00 for fronts.

Im still yet to find a low dust semi performance brembo pad. I am pretty sure they just don't exist.

Just put in Ferodo DB1170's. Still bedding in, but seem good so far.
$129 for a set.
