4 pot calipers

Hey guys,

Going to upgrade my front brakes in the next month or so. Just want to know where to get the 4 pot calipers that came of the early modle GC8 (ithink) and how much i should expect to pay. dont really wont to go new, second hand will do fine.

cheers.

Expect to Pay 400-600 depending on age and rotors etc.. I think if you PM Muggz he might have some for sale

o forgot to add, they should bolt up easy to a 97 wrx?? and i wont have to change my master cylinder or anything?

Fozzy 13-10-2009 06:21 PM

Yes you should be fine

Master cylinder wont NEED to be changed, but you get alot more free travel if you don't.
ie, the brakes don't start to work til the pedal is closer to the floor.

brembos arent that expensive these days if youve got rims already

dont worry about changing the mc. i did it on my 94. chucked on some braided lines and a master cylinder brace and the pedal had awesome feedback. little travel.

Just make sure you have big enough wheels to clear the 4pots

Will need bigger rotors to.

craigie 14-10-2009 02:48 PM

rang a few wreckers they quoted $2000 -$2500 for a full set inc rotors, though they rarely get them in... PM sent

BALISTC 14-10-2009 02:58 PM

Thats fuckin expensive for standard 4 pots.

Mister Two 14-10-2009 03:00 PM

Maybe they had them confused with brembos. Since they are still a 4 pot caliper.

craigie 14-10-2009 03:05 PM

sorry that was for a full set of brembos and rotors

redlib 14-10-2009 11:33 PM

yer i no i will need bigger rotors, thing there 320mm or something like that for the 4 pots. not really interested in the brembos, and i dont think they clear my rims either. (ultrex rims)

blue.spec 15-10-2009 02:09 PM
