Default Fitting a after market boost controller

can you fit a after market boost controller (manual) to a standard ecu in a my00 wrx? or do i have to get a aftermarket ecu or piggy back.. does any one have any diagrams showing the steps on how to fit a manual boost gauge ( t-joint with a adjustable screw - +) thanks..

why would a manual boost gauge have any effect on the ecu?

what year is your car?

running a boost gauge will do nothing to your car, if its a manual boost controller then that "shouldn't" really be run without an aftermarket ECU. u can still run it but the standard ecu still puts in the same air/fuel ratio for normal boost (14psi) even if u have it set at 16psi which makes it run lean. Theres topics for both of these *installing boost Gauge* and *effects of boost controller* just use the search funtion and u will find loads of info on it.

i wanted to fit a boost controller, the mod i have done to the car is
Hyperflow Front Mount Intercooler 660 x 230 x 90mm
Custom S/S Intercooler piping
IHI VF23 Turbo
Walbro 550hp Fuel Pump
Blitz Blow off valve
APS Cold Air intake Guard mounted install / K&N Airfilter
3' exhaust from the turbo.
i think i will wait to i can get a aftermarket ecu like a autronic or a piggy back.. big price difference betweeen the two.
