Bore clearance

gday people ive got a question to pick ya brains if this makes sence

when i got my engine rebiult i got my bores bored out by 20 thou and the pistons i used where je forged pistons pn (p226378je).
i called je for the clearance between piston and bore and they said between 0035-0040 thou. what is happening is when i exellerate fast it blown blue smoke is that normal for forged pistons.
sorry if its hard to understand
any help would be apreciated

cheers

How many KM on it now?
Could it be either Blow by or a Turbo seal?

BALISTC 22-10-2009 05:21 PM

Blowing blue smoke is never normal.

9000km
i took the intercooler off and was not a drop of oil in it so dunno about the turbo seal
im wondering if the mob who did the booring did it to much but i gave them the pistons when we sent the bores in so i would not of thought they could ge it wrong

Have also seen piston ring gaps lined up instead of staggered from a factory Land Rover V8, this will cause blue smoke also.
