Yep will try that Phil, thanks mate. Taking Hurtenstiens multimeter tomorrow as my fluke ones at work. Will check for dropped cells, water levels and see where we stand. Cheers for the advice fellas.

Ok well got the Multimeter out. Straight up, out the gate it read 10volts. It has dropped a cell somewhere along the line. Opened the battery reseviours, even though it had been serviced less then 5,000kms ago, the cells were fairly dry. Topped them up, charged the battery fired her up, all good.

Get home, get a facebook message from the mate saying its just started doing it again. Go back round, after running around trying to find a place that sells a small terminal small surface area battery we got one from repco. Problem solved. Cheers all!

phizzle was right! Sacraficial anodes FTL when it comes to batteries.

You are a sparky ain't ya Eric? I think I remember you being some sort of tradesperson......

Yeah i am a sparky, only really just learnt the return path in a car is the frame of it ( year or so back).......hahahahahaha electrically thats the most dangerous thing possible in an AC environment.....the joys of auto sparky!

Yeah lol......Theres a funny story behind the whole AC/DC thing actually and how it was promoted as a safe type of electricity.
