Hi Dan,

People are saying AFM, AFM, AFM because that has been their experience with a stalling/hesitating car.
you can try spraying the AFM wire with electrical contact cleaner, see if that fixes it for a short period, but you will only be prolonging the life of the AFM for a few days/weeks -
but at least then you know what the issue is.

other issue could be fuelling, or spark.

try - injector cleaner for the injectors
- plugs and leads
- maybe crank angle sensor.

Also check for CEL codes in the ECU.

good luck

Did you replace with a standard afm or go for a z32 etc?

99 & 00 GC are the same.

DAMO has a spare 99/00 AFM of mine...perhaps PM him and see if you can borrow it to test out the dead AFM theory.

Z32 requires a powerfc (stock ecu won't work with a z32 afm).
