Most/Safely.....hmmmmmm.

turbo size? Supporting mods? Most common use?

RUSSGT 20-01-2010 04:46 PM

Just letting this one go as a "pick your own adventure". Assume all supporting mods and any turbo. What boost could you run safely.

Open it up to EJ255 to.

EJ205
Standard position turbo mounting, i.e. 350hp rated turbo 20-25psi

EJ255
buy spare short blocks for anything over 18psi :D

edit:
I ran EJ205, standard long motor, VF22, fmic, parallel fuel mod, fuel reg, bosch pump, silicone intake, 3" tbe @ 1.5bar.

Thing is, you could tune your car for 3 bar and then hand it to your granny who would never go over 1500rpm. then you have said car last 4 years "yeah mate she runs fine on 3 bar for 4 years", someone else goes and does the same, take it down to whoop ass wednesday on a 7 degree night and blow a crater in the tarmac within a week.
