Default intercooler pipe popping off....

hey guys and gals,

i have a my99 wrx and my silicone joiner from the intercooler piping, to the turbo keeps popping off..
tryed tonight re-clamping with stronger clamp no joy, now i have just put it back on again for the 4th time today shittin me to tears...

here is a attached paint sketch i knocked you can tell im not artstic...



could i get the cooler piping cut were the U bend is and replaced with silicone would this possibly fix it... i think the problem is the intercooler pipe is pulling on it therefore pulling it off?? maybe..

any help appreciated andrew

pull the silly-cone hose off, grab a pair of big pliers and bell mouth the pipe, either that or rip the entire thing out and get a shop to weld a bead along the edge of the pipe. That way the hose clamp will have something to hold onto

the intercooler pipe is in the silicone hose solid.. but it just wont stay on the turbo end....

do it up tighter :P

pull it off and give it a good clean, could be covered in oil?

thats silly, the less silicone the better!
just get some quality clamps, nice wide ones with a bolt that tightens them,
i have the same stupid u pipe n mine has neer blown off.

have to see maybe it because the silicone is getting pushed on a angle..?
ill try a few more things

rossco, u mean the clamps that are ment for cooler piping big wide ones... with the bolt..
and just get it so the clamps behind the lip of turbo...

as ross said mate T-Bolt clamp problem solved trust me i have them on my car at that point to my y pipe on my tmic coz my hoses kept blowing off never had that prob since
