Places to buy sti engines
 

Ey guys, im finally there and im wanting to buy a 98 sti engine for my 97 wrx.......
Now JWS, has them for $4500 fitted, but im not to sure if i get the computer and the manifold ( he was a bit blurry on that), and turbo...

Does anyone know where else has them, and is decently priced, drive in, drive out type of thing.....

just a bit of red paint.

parts west is unit 3, 24 triumph ave wangara. sorted me with a starter, nice bloke, said he just sorted a shipment of engines about 3 weeks ago, maybe worth a call. 0418 924 762.

I think the place wrx4life may be talking about is auto evolution. Diamond and Shabir are top blokes. Helped me out at one point and cost me bugger all.

i think he's got some gen2 liberty donks, that's if you're interested in a closed deck (i think?) TT setup - which you could perhaps swap over to single. same setup as mine.

ah yeah. speak to gav on hear (stiv6253 i think) as his name was on that halfcut for a while so he might have more info for you. i had a brief look over it a few months back, should be good if you get the rear end with it as its R180

hhrmm wonder why their still selling it, if his name was on it. I want to go have a look but im so far away from the shop....i cant do anything for like a few weeks anyways so if its still there then its a go ahead, i need to get my car going, the right engine, only have the 4by and the missus needs it back..hahahha

They're selling it because he went in a different direction
and bought an MY00 that was going to be built but bought
a V6 STi instead.

There should be nothing wrong with the front cut at all and
there was some question about it possibly being a V Limited
due to the rev limiter and other small things.

sorry whats V limited??? do i have to do anything rego wise when i get this motor in, like change engine number? go over the pits?

Ive never replaced or upgraded an engine before, ive always rebuilt..

ok v limited, google is my friend!!

just do an engine swap form, its stock size so you will have no issues.

cheers, now have to sort my finance and its mine. Btw how hard is it to swap it all over?
