Hey sleepR, what about the up-pipe to turbo joint? I'll have to remove the down-pipe from the turbo to get at the up-pipe bolts, right?

Ok, thanks. Should get away with just undoing it at the top, correct?

if you can slide the dump back an inch you should be laughting, don't forget to undo the dump brackets that bolt onto the gearbox 1st (there's 2)

for the amount of work you are going through, it'd probably be easier to just pull the turbo and headers off and replace all the gaskets.

Update:

Had some difficulty undoing loosening nuts/bolts at the turbo so put the car into a shop for them to replace all gaskets between manifold and turbo and the dump-pipe/turbo gasket. No change, farkin.

What Bov is on the car?

They can blow open if set too loose, the noise is like blowing over the top of a bottle or a sharp shriek.

Alternately your turbo may be munching into the comp housing.

An aftermarket piece of spam. Monza I think. Might be the same as this one:http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....#ht_6792wt_681

Don't think it's adjustable. Might be worth me removing it's vacuum line and seeing if the noise persists.
