mm thanks..

Sleepy, I have been going to Melville as well but they are telling me to get it disconnected, not replaced!?!? they reckon that people request them to do it all the time for symptoms such as mine or if they can't be f'd putting in the pin.

Apparently they will simply disconnect the keypad not the immobiliser?

I will check out one of these guys:

XSPEED
Cypher Industries
Intune Performance
Wide range Auto Service

anyone been to them?

the thought of bad fuel crossed my mind but do you think the problem would be re-occuring after more than several fillups?? I am pretty sure Subaru checked fuel lines etc.. Well they said they did.

It must be an electrical prob.

Rob did mine, he is a champion. He's contactable on 0428813789, platinumauto@iinet.net

Tell him Richard sent you

The *entire* system needs to be removed, not just disconnecting the keypad, thats stupid. It's the control module that causes the issue. When i ripped mine out (I had issues same as you) There was a burned out capacitor in there which was causing the car to stumble.

Rip it out!@

replace the whole system with an autowatch.

are you looking for a workshop to replace the alarm or a workshop to diagnose?

+1 for Autowatch with keypad.

Bumpstop "Macey" does awesome work so just PM him about it
or call him at Westside Sound, ask just about any member about
Macey's quality and professionalism and they will say he's #1.

If I can come across someone that has experience with resolving this problem before and can confirm that it's the cause (in my specific circumstance) and replace the system, that would be great.

Looks like Autowatch is the way to go.. Do you know how much this would cost to disconnect the Brant and install the Autowatch?
