2005 DCCD has a torsen helical but still retains the 35:65 DCCD.
Are you sure? There is a guy selling an 05 STi DCCD and claims it has a suretrack in it.. Code is TY856WB4KA Also with the stub axle and seal conversion, is it a split the box job, or just pop them in and out as is? |

IE.. TY856WB6KA The old seals get pryed out and the new ones just get hammered in lightly and the stubs just clip right in. its a 10 minute job. |
Ahh righto.
It also comes with unnecessary bits ie clutch and flywheel. Its cheap though! |
Tell him its an 04 and make it even cheaper!!... ;)

if its the one i was looking at buying, its a good deal with all the included gear. its annoying he's claiming its 05 when its 04 though
|
He just told me its sold and forgot to update his thread, so doesnt matter!

6 speed with dccd + 2 way plated rear diff on default 35:65. DO IT!! :D
*since it aint a daily shitter. |
2 way is definitely on the cards :D
P.S. is the Legacy 6 speed gearset the same as the Impreza 6 speed gearset? I know about the diff and speedo drive differences, but are the gearsets physically the same? |
Legacy gearset has wider ratios. Even more so than the ADM 06+ STI wide ratio 6 speeds
