I may be wrong but if you take the vacuum lines off the turbo and run one from the turbo outlet to the waste gate diaphram it should only hold about 5-9 psi depending on the spring?

At least it would be driveable.

Tony Flood said to do the same thing. Ill just park it up till I upgrade to a Motec and re-tune.

This would also be a good way to eliminate your controller as the problem.

Why use a stand alone boost controller with a Power Fc?....I don't get it...Why do people do this??

The powerfc will control up to around 1.8 bar using the factory solednoid & map sensor.

No need for the 'boost control kit' that the Skylines use, it's plug'n'play with factory wiring, set the target pressure & duty cycle - job done in about 5 mins.

The car came with both the Power Fc and seperate boost controller.

On the other hand my mechanic informed me why some people use seperate boost controllers as he reckons the built in one on the power fc is shite (gave me some technical spiel but I somed it up myself :D)

Just because it can boost to 20+ psi, does not mean you have to boost it up there everytime you drive it. No need for parking it up, Just drive it sensibly until somone has time to look into it?

Yeah I know mate but the temptation is always there to give it a bit of stick :D. Ill just drive the bunky around a few weeks till I get it sorted :)

i also found when i did mine that i had a cracked boost line so it wasnt creating vacume.
