I'm gonna guess and say your boost issues are directly related to your acceleration and rough idle issues you raised in a thread 2 days ago.
Did you check if the olive/pill is still in place as per the diagram posted? if so, and it's not there, did you replace it?

I didn't... but google did.
It's located in the boost line labeled "line 1" in the first image.
It looks like the little black thing in picture 2.

However, I'm not convinced this is your problem. A subaru specialist mechanic would probably be your best bet mate.

there is a small (around 5mm thick) and 10cm long black hose that plugs into the turbo wastegate (marked line 1 on the diagram above). It should have a little lump in it about half way. If not, then the olive restrictor is missing. The restrictor is in the hose (well it is on my car and every other I have seen. do not know what that second pic is showing). Have found this to be an issue on a couple of cars (including mine) when the hoses were swapped for silicone and the restictor was not refitted. Car accelerates then feels like it has deployed a parachute and slows down until the next gear is selected and boost builds again.
It allows the car to build more boost then the wastegate is reading. Without it, in effect you are running half the normal boost.

Or, you have a split in the hoses/connectors which is leaking the reading out and throwing the afrs out. Have seen this too on an 02 sti. Causes the car to lean out at the higher rpm.
