2010 wrx engine internals upgrade

Hi Guys,

After recently finishing susp, exhaust and tuning upgrades. I'm of the opinion the next best step for engine longevity is stregnthening the engine internals. 202kw and 404nm torque at the wheels I believe the engine would be sitting on the boundry.
What would be involved in strgthening? Forged pistons, rods, rings etc....sorry not so good on engine internals.

Cheers

Putting sleeves in the block, then adding forged pistons, strengthened connecting rods and while it's out may as well do some head and valve train work. Kiss goodbye to alot of cash.

..yeah I have been quoted approx 5k...but details were sketchy

Start at 10k if you want to actually build a decent short motor. That will be just enough for engine out, throw in some sleeves and pistons and engine back in.

This is a stronger motor, but the block physically needs work if you want it to be ultra 'tough'.

At which point you start looking at 15k+

5k will get you pistons installed only, which will allow you to run more boost.. but you can kiss your block goodbye at some stage, as this is the real weak point when running big boost in a 2.5 litre.

My recommendation is enjoy it as it is, or go for a JDM EJ207 long motor if you want to be unique and not spend $15k doing it properly.. plus you can sell the stock motor and recoup some cash.
