gc8 wrx bonnet question..

i was just wondering what are the differances between the 2 bonnets.. one from a 96 wrx and one from a 99 wrx, apart from the bonnet vents themselves? could you swop the vents over from different years? are they interchangable?

the reason why i ask is cos i am looking for a my99 wrx bonnet but i can not seem to find one.. found a 96..

cheers steve

No they are a different shape. If you wanted to use the 96 bonnet you would need to use 96 headlights and grill as well.
Late 97 is when the facelift was done so late 97 to 00 is what you need.

MY97 was the facelift, from late 96/early97 onwards.

Is the Rad Support the same? Hypothetically you would be able to take a bastard file/grinder to it and reshape (hassel v parts overhead)?

I am running a MY00 bonnet, lights and MY98 grille and MY96 bumper on my MY93, all the GC/GF front end parts fit on. But as mentioned above, the lights and grille are required to make the bonnet work.
