Installing Climate Control into Non Climate Control GC8
 

Hi Guys,

Has anyone successfully converted a non climate control GC8 to STi/GD spec climate control?

If so, was it mission impossible? What parts are required and are there any guides floating around on the net?

How will this make your track hack faster?

I weigh half a metric tonne, some bling won't make much difference. I'll just have a pre-game dump to get the power to weight ratio back :D

There are a few mods I want to do 'because I can' spec.

Stace, did geoff do a writeup anywhere or was this a secret bling meter type mod?

track warrior, or luxo Kato? thought you'd be reducing weight / luxuries.

Just make a sticker that goes over the red/blue bit on the switch that says 20-25-30.......?

I probably should pull the unit out of my car and look... But anyhoo...

The climate control systems just have a wiring harness plug on the back. What do the non-climate control have? I assume some old skool wire to control the recirc/fan speed?

All I want out of the system at the moment is fan/heater control with a plug in the back. Air con goodness can come later unless I remove it.
