If the oil light came on, there's a chance you've damaged it.

You have done 40000kms since february? That is a fair effort!! In general speaking, if it blows blue smoke then your car is burning oil, black usually means running rich, white can either mean running lean or water is entering your exhaust creating steam etc... which isnt a good thing!!
