Default 93/4/5/6 WRX Power window relay..Where is it?

I'm sick of having to have the key on to use my windows so I want to bridge the relay like I have in the Liberty so they work all the time but I'm buggered if I can find it, anyone know "exactly " where it is on the early model, I've searched everywhere on the net with no luck....just wiring diagrams.

be careful doing that Tom.

if the relay is permanently engaged it will flatten the battery.

the best way to do it is by triggering it through another relay that is triggered off the door switch.

doing it this way the window relay is only engaged either when the key is on (as standard) or when the door is open.

if the doors are closed, the relay won't be engaged and won't flatten the battery.

Or just remove the relay and bridge 30 to 87.

Lib's been perfect for 6yrs with just the main relay bridged, other way sounds too complimicated though that's probably why the battery goes flat after 4 days???, you two should know where it is, I've stuck my head up under the dash but can't hear anything click when I hit the switch.
Such a pain when one needs the key and the other doesn't

We do, it's a trade secret.

Because the relay is closed when you turn the key on, not when you press the window switch. Unplug the relay and bridge the main power supply (the one that's live regardless of key position) to the load wire. Usually bridge the 2 thickest wires on the plug, discard the relay.

But that's the opposite to what I've had done on the Lib...Old Jim (worked for MMS at times doing auto sparky work & did the wiring conversion on my car) left the plug hanging & bridged the two outer parallel spades on the relay BUT I STILL CAN'T FIND THE FUCKING THING!!!!!!

How much for the trade secret Dougal............And no I'm not doing "THAT" again.

Come to think off it, I think Jester is right on that one. I recall ripping out some gear from there on my wagon when it was converted.

I don't really know where it is Tom. Without researching anyway. Have a look where Jester said, sounds reasonable to me.
