Default DIY walbro fuel pump install on gc8

i changed the fuel pump on my gc8 today with a walbro one. i saw this DIY thread on rexnet, its a good step by step guide that i think will help people on here if they are considering doing it themselves.

very easy, only took around 30min at the most. the worst part is the fact its bloody humid out side. one thing to be careful of though is the two fuel hoses that connect to the top of the cover, one of mine seemed abit stiff so just take it easy just incase its brittle and you split it.

I have a Walbro sat under my desk right now, can i install this without re-tuning straight away? I have a Vf34, panel filter and 550cc injectors ready to go on but have been putting it off as i thought it would damage the car without a tune (which i can't do for at least a few weeks).

I can't see why you would need a tune

You should be good without a tune, it may run ever so slightly rich depending on how tired your old pump was. If your fuel pressure reg is still in good condition (i've never heard of one failing...) then it should make no difference.

(I was asking about the fuel filter itself - doesn't have a sock?!)
