Hey guys need some knowledge here lol. I'm planning on putting STI 440 yellow injectors in my MY98 wrx as I'm doing a few other upgrades. Was going to buy them from JWS, but was told by the guy there that there are two types to suit GC8s. He showed me both and the end on one of them is longer than the other... I was told to "simply" remove one of the injectors and see what type is currently in there, but seeing how they are 12 years old, I'll just end up messing them up...

Anyway, I just found a site with exactly what I needed to know on it, however before I go and buy them from JWS, I thought I'd check to make sure this website is 100% correct. As I will be getting them fitted in a few weeks through ASG and don't want to get that phone call saying they are wrong and have to postpone everything. Heres the link:

According to that, my model is a "phase 1.5" and therefore the injectors I need have the longer tip. But I also just noticed that it's talking about JDM and UK spec... mines australian built (so I'm told) so will this affect what info it has on this site?

If anyone could help me out with this then that would be much appreciated, as I need to get these injectors fairly soon.

You have the longer tip injectors.

Look around on the carl davey site. They sell kits to convert your car to run late model top feed injectors and rail.

alright sweet.. i actually just noticed that the retaining cap on both injectors are different.. so matched it to mine so yes indeed they must be the longer ones.
