Fmic

i saw theres a FMIC in for sale and i was thinking of getting it but got told its better to upgrade my TMIC as the piping for the FMIC is long and increases lag. is this true?

i also thought of getting the vf37 twinscroll turbo and blitz boost controller and V3-4 STI Airflow Meter.

i have a 1999 classic wrx with 3' exhaust and high flow air intake and thats all i knew about but my friend said i have yellow fuel injectors which are sti ones and he thinks my turbo is different (it has no labeling on it that we could see) and thinks my AFM is changed aswell. oh and i was going to buy a sti ecu from him but turns out i have the exact same ecu already

thanks for any help

1. Most off the shelf kits are too long yes. Custom built ones with the right diameters & short as possible can help remove this.

2. Cool story bro. However pointless going twinscroll with an off the shelf FMIC kit.

3. I missed the point.

fmic > tmic

If you get the vf37 you can get some twin scroll headers aswell. Get em off Wayne in his group buy section. To tune your car though you will need a stand alone ecu or similar. Power FC or something.

v3-4 air flow meter won't fit your car & no benefit anyway,

vf-37 will require a twinscroll sump/pickup/dipstick/headers/dump pipe

fmic won't be as laggy witha a twinscroll turbo but stick to tmic if you only have the stock 205 donk as you won't be able to wind it right up to get the fmic benefits anyways

+ twin scroll turbo bracket & twin scroll sump baffle plate + labour

Fitting a VF37 twin scroll & FMIC = 2 steps forward, 3 steps back.

Forget the FMIC.

STI TMIC would be sufficient for your needs. Looks more stock + no hacking your front bumper which is illegal anyways.

just been looking around and is it true that if i just swap over to a bigger top mount ill have more turbo lag? i think i might just get the silicone y pipe and silicone turbo induction pipe and i should be happy. maybe ill upgrade more later

thanks anyway people
