Default Central Locking Module

When i have my interior light "ON" it is bright, when i have it 'OFF' it is off, but when i have it on "DOOR' it stays on 24/7. Also my key barrel light stays on 24/7, but should turn off when the doors are locked. I have been told this is a problem with the central locking module. Can anybody please confirm this before i start forking out more cash for this bloody car.

I doubt its the alarm, possible though. I would say it needs to be diagnosed properly.

From the searching i have done so far it leads me to believe that the central locking module is not doing its job properly.

In before 100x 'get rid of the brandt' comments...

What part of the interior lighting circuit is connected to the Brandt?

I'd be first looking at the switches on the doors which tell the car to turn the interior lights on and off. (Actually, I would first be checking that all the doors on the car are shut )
