I need ideas

Guys I'm bored ,

99/00 wrx 5spd, vf34, FMIC,vipec , I want more power so which turbo do I go ?

Td06 ?
Gtx3071r
Twin scroll
I'm going to fit 272 cams as well

I still do small motorkana's , but looking to do more time attack

What's everyones " REAL " suggests ???????

what you've got already is actually quite ideal for motorkhana
and for motorkhana's, circuit work, you don't necessarily want too much power since you won't get to use all of it anyway

also more power = potential new engine + new gearbox + driveline

Td05-18G if you cam it. Stick with the 34 if you don't.

you dont need more power for skid pan work.

6 speed, or at least a better 5 speed like the 4.44s.

Plated rear LSD

Coilovers

swaybars

good brake pads and rotors.

yeah you don't want a big turbo for Motorkhana, as a larger turbo means more lag. What you would probably want to do, is reduce the lag, and look at either shortening your FMIC piping (inverting the cooler etc) or switch back to the STI TMIC and go for a re-tune. Try bring the boost on quicker, earlier in the rev range.

Most of the skid pan days I run you hardly get into the middle of third gear, most work is done in second and low end of third though, depending on gear box ratio (4.11's vs 4.44's or 5spd vs 6spd) but it's all about getting the power out early!

Twin scroll and 264's.
272's are too long/big for motorkhana.
TD06 is FAR to big. (without a LOT of other/supporting work. ie Prototype)

I run TD06-20g and 272's and it's a pig until 4k.
Response and usable power > HP bragging rights.

And this^^^^

Repeated seat time will also see gains

If you are going to do time attack AND motorkhana then you will need to compromise in each sport (age old debate of top end vs response...which depends on the type of motorsport you choose)

As said above:

motorkhana: TMIC, twinscroll turbo, suspension + brakes
time attack: FMIC, TD05/06 20G, suspension + brakes

6 spd + STi driveline components (diffs/shafts/axles, etc). would be on the cards too for added reliability
