RS Liberty (Hydraulic Push Type Clutch) vs Naturally Aspirated (Mechanical Pull Type)
Howdy.
I'm in the process of converting my newly acquired series 2 GX wagon to a Hydraulic clutch setup. As far as I know in order to do this, the pressure plate, throwout bearing, and flywheel needs to be exchanged to suit a Hydraulic setup; as well as the clutch pedal assembly, master, and slave cylinders. I noticed my clutch has about ~2mm before the rivets; so I'm wondering whether there's any differences with regards to offset/diameter between a Naturally Aspirated (Pull Type) Clutch Plate, and a Turbo (Push Type - Hydraulic) Clutch Plate. So in other words: are they both cross-compatible. Only one clutch is off; and the other clutch is still bolted up to the car; so I haven't been able to physically compare them side-by-side. Lettuce know! :) |
