I have asked this question before but what sort of cost do you think im looking at to put a strait cut 1-4 gear set synchro box

and also the same thing but dog box engagment

i was thinking the cost parts and labour would be about:
synchro box strait cut: $4300
dog box strait cut: $5000

would this be right and who would you recomend to do the work?

Around $5500-$6000 for ppg 1-4 inc labour iirc.
I would get Sean or Nick at the wok to have a go at it. Both have a large amount of personal gbox breaking/building experience.

Is the Dog box a real possability? Bit annoying if you use the car for the daily commute.

What about a 6 speed STi box.. all the cool kids are doing it.

Every place I called is asking $6k for just the box!

MMS used to do a package deal - 5k drive out for the 6speed.
