Nulon Long Life Concentrated Coolant is Green & is a OAT Hybrid.... Nulon Ultra Cool 70 Plus is also green but is Glycol based...Yet they neutralize each other when mixed.

Coolants can be the same color but use different inhibitor packages. Each unique coolant chemistry formulation performs differently.

About different types of coolant.

Large thanks to Rossco for the info. If people are still questioning which coolant to use, have a read through the original post carefully.

USE THE COOLANT DESIGNED FOR YOUR CAR. Also, don't cheap out on coolant.. use the genuine stuff. It's not THAT much more expensive anyway!

Genuine coolant has been designed specifically for the metallurgy and components in Subaru engines. The factory has tested it and approved its use, so why would anyone cheap out and use crap coolant is beyond me.

I agree Rossco.. people use quality fuel, oil, brake fluid, etc, but coolant is an afterthought most of the time. Again, its not a massive amount more expensive to go genuine anyway!!

Russ I've seem plenty of fucked heads, radiators, heater cores, blocks & timing cover from all makes of vehicles to make me very cautious with coolants.

Remember I do this shit for a living.

Ive killed 2 OEM rads using cheap coolant.

Also a mate of mine has actually killed a motor a long time ago using cheap coolant. Ate through the V2 STI-RA heads and leaked coolant into the exhaust ports.
