Wheel vibration! Help!!

hey guys,
ive noticed that my wheel vibrates whilst turning left and occasionally right (more so left) but goes away once the turn has been made. its worse when i turn under boost. i noticed it started occuring after i took a left turn pretty quick which got me a little crossed:D but now regretting it...
any help on what i may have done??

Lol ... Fast vibration, on some lock on boost? Im assuming steering wheel vibration?

Assuming TBE zorst, then the exhaust may be hitting the steering knuckle when the engine torque twists it around. Mine is currently exhibiting this issue.

Solution is new/stiffer engine mounts.

hey mate,
thanks for you reply. very interesting, because it happened exactly after i picked it up from the muffler place jus as i got my TBE put in... farkk

does it cause any damage by driving it?

can also 'dimple' the dump pipe to clear the knuckle

Solution is smacking the dump pipe where it hits (you'll see the shiny bit) with a big hammer.

Fixed my problem.

Other problem might be understeer.

yeah take to the dump pipe with a hammer... where did you get the exhaust from?

May be air in power steering system. Had a similar problem with my ex's 03 WRX. Would vibrate big time turning left under pressure, but not while turning right.

Resolution was doing a power steering fluid flush. This can be a bit tricky to do yourself though, so best to take into a workshop.

if you're gonna bash it with a hammer get some heat into it 1st ;) ie bunnings spec blow torch right in the spot it hits till its glowing red.... then smack it :D

here's a pic of my 3" x-farce TBE you can see the dimple near the steering knuckle
