Default Miss Firing

Hi Guys

MY99 WRX
Car is miss firing on Hwy driving.
Had an idle problem so i changed IACV and cleaned AFM.

Miss firing still happening but does not happen when you put you foot down.

Any ideas, another thread said to clean the throttle body solenoid but i think that is the same as IACV.

Car has done 160000kms
Plugs are 40000kms old, Platinum
Leads are old as the car

Your help is appreaciated

Swap the AFM for a known good one, even after cleaning it can still be fucked. Do it asap or risk having to buy a new engine

Hi Guys

Swapped the AFM for a good one

It stopped the miss firing but made the idle all stuffed up. Running rich
Idle was either to high or to low and would stall.

Going to change Oxegen sensor to see if that fixes it then its off to the tune
shop.

Does anyone have a working Oxegen sensor for sale MY99

Any suggestions

even with a dead 02 sensor mine ran okay, no rough idle, it just ran a bit rich

What ECU does your car have? Is it factory?

it isn't by any chance a silver sedan with a vf22, 02wrx tmic, apexi pod filter on it?

40,000 k's on plugs running more boost than stock is a bit ambitious, i have a set of ngk pfr7b that i pulled out of the motor i killed, they have done approx 2000km, bring me a bottle of turkey & you can have them
