Explanation Needed On Boost Gauge

Soz If This Is A Stupid Question But,

On A Boost Gauge I Have It Has 0.5,1,1.5,2 And So On With Little Indication Between Them. I Beleive This To Be Bar Eg. 1 = 1bar Of Boost. As My Last Wrx Had A Hks Gauge Which Went From 1 To 30 I Knew Exactly What I Was Running. What Im Basicaly Asking Is From The Boost Gauge I Have Now How Do I Tell How Much Boost Is Running As Most Rexs Run 10 Standard. (last One Did)

Its Not Installed Yet Also

Cheers Any Info Would Be Good.

1 bar = 14.7psi. Stock wrx should run somewhere around 13.5, Sti's are closer to 16. so just times what ever its running at by 14.7 to find out what you car is running at. eg 1.5 bar = 22psi. (or 22.05 if u wanna be picky)

Some gauges like mine (Blitz) use kg/cm2. 1 Kg/cm2 isn't quite 1 bar but close.

kg/cm2. 1 Kg/cm2 isn't quite 1 bar but close.[/QUOTE]

1 bar = 14.5038 psi (pound-force per square inch)

kg/cm2 ? Kgf/cm2 is an SI unit which translates to kilograms force,

2.1 kgf/cm2 = 2.0594 bar

1 kgf/cm2 = 0.9807 bar

I guess that you were referring to absolute pressure, ie full vacuum = 0 bar and everything over that being positive? Most people run gauges that read mm/hg for vacuum and psi for positive pressure.

Welcome to Australia’s fully Metric system, would that be a 3” turbo back exhaust or 76.2mm. Whoever said that a pair of 38” DD’s is the same as a pair of 96.52 cm was a sad man.
