reverse manifold

hey everyone hope u are all well.

i was thinking of reverseing the manifold on the rex coz with my VF34 it is kicking in at about 3800rpm. if i revesre the manifold will it make my turbo boost up quicker or not.

have many of u done this at all.

thanks heaps

Are you running a FMIC?

REXLLENT 19-03-2006 10:09 PM

yeah front mount, link ecu

Shinobiken 19-03-2006 10:14 PM

yes you'll improve turbo spool because you're shortening the fmic piping by reversing manifold.

scooby99 19-03-2006 10:15 PM

but is the $$$ spent to do it worth the kw gained???

REXLLENT 19-03-2006 10:19 PM

its not that. i just want my tubro to spool quicker

urabus 19-03-2006 10:21 PM

also remember that with a reverse manifold you will lose your air con.

scoobysix 19-03-2006 10:31 PM

Stace has reversed his manifold while still keeping the aircon.

Very expensive. Stace will agree with this!

Shinobiken 20-03-2006 12:12 AM

i thot about reversing my maniford too, but then i wouldn't know where to get fmic piping to suit, and if i'm going this far for turbo lag, i might as well angle mount my turbo too

but i got my vf34 because its direct fit and no mods required, if i have to mod it to angle mount it, then i might as well go get one of those turbo with similar high end power that spools up quicker.
