Hey there, can anyone out there recommend any good places to get WRX front cuts in Perth? and what price should I be expecting to pay for one? (am looking at mid to late 90's WRX(non STI))

also if anyone knows if the 99 liberty (3rd gen) gear box will suit the WRX motor or will I have to use a WRX one?

just after any information anyone can offer at the moment to figure out if this is a feasible project for me financially.

Regarding gearboxes, there is a changeover of bell housing bolt patterns, 97 backwards is 4 bolt, 98 onwards is 8 bolt.
A Liberty gearbox will bolt to a same year WRX engine, , but the WRX has pull clutch and the Liberty has a push clutch, so with out changing slave cylinders, release bearings, and complete clutch assemblies, including flywheels. It wont happen.
Plus the front diff ratio may not match
Budget anywhere between 2500-5000 for a front cut

really depends what the motor is going into, there's lots of minor but significant changes for the engines you've listed, make your life easy if you're replacing an engine and go with one of the same year

so im best of looking for a 99 wrx front cut to suit my car? its a 99 liberty wagon 2litre NA manual.

Anyone done or spoken to anyone that has done a conversion similar to this before? anything in particular to look out for?
