Unhappy Electric window drama MY00 sedan

Hello viewers!

I've been having a long battle with my front passenger window frying the drivers side switch (Main switch) after a very short period of working.

Numerous trips to auto sparkys who havnt had any luck, replaced motors & countless switches.. Now i'm starting to think its from the motor working too hard to try to push the window up, because maybe the window mechanism isnt working as freely as it should...

Has anyone ever had to free up window mechanisms before??
how did ya go about it? what did you use?

Advanced thankyous

you could lube the slides on the edge of the window inside the door and put grease on any other moving parts. However I would have thought you would see that it is struggling to go up and down if there was a problem

If it was just the regulator causing the motor to labour surely the circuit breaker that trips when the window goes full up or full down would just trip and it would stop.
You would need to A: unbolt the window from the regulator and slide it up and down, that will indicate how hard it is to slide.
B: remove the whole regulator and take the motor off and move it, see if its stiff.
If you want to lube it, the window itself has a slide at the front that runs in a channel, and a roller at the back that move in a channel.
Unbolt the window from the regulator, move it all the way up, grease inside the channels,
then move the window up and down a few times.
I would use Castrol PH white grease, or any of the white spray greases.

You have a short most likely, I'd be checking where the harness's go from the car to the doors.
It may even be the circuit breaker itself that is the problem.
