Default Fuel Pump or Brant?!?

Hi guys im just looking for confirmation/some input on a problem im having with my fuel pump and/or brant system.

It appears to be a VERY common topic and i have been searching around the forum but everyone seems to experience slightly different symptoms. Basically when i try start my car the fuel pump doesn't prime. Now on occasion the brant keypad won't light up in order for me to put my pin in. Other times the fuel pump won't prime but the brant keypad with be flashing rows of numbers/not necessarily needing the pin to be put in. I would have said the brant system straight away if i saw there was no power/response from the brant keypad but there is intermittent power/ response so could it even be faulty wiring?

I have read VETTETOREX's "Fuel pump not Priming. No start." thread which sounds quite similar to my problems so brant system quite possibly is the culprit but i'm just looking for some confirmation from some pwrx members who have more know-how than myself before i spend $600+ putting a new security system in.

Cheers for any help

brant rip it out.
used to happen to me, would have to turn my car on and off like a million times so it would prime and eventually it would and i could start but sometimes took me about 5 minutes. got stuck so many times in the middle of roads where it would just F up, and was embarrassing where ppl would see I was a girl and be like did you run out of petrol......
but after i got it taken out completely it stopped happening andd never again had any problems

Just get it removed, the car has a sophisticated immobiliser system built in.
Just make sure you notify your insurance company

I've got an '01 WRX and it didn't have the Brant installed (was an option way back then), and I organized insurance when I bought it I told my insurance company (RAC) and they didn't care.
Didn't affect my premiums, so ring first you might be surprised

I had this problem in my 06 sti. 5min's with a soldering iron and some solder and it was fixed. Dry relay joints on the PCB where the problem in my case, haven't had a problem since.
