Aftermarket DCCD Controller
 

Good mornings to you all.

Just seeing what the general consensus is on aftermarket DCCD controllers. Will be looking for something to control a JDM MY06 6 speed of win.

Options I see are:

1. DCCDPro - Manual or Universal?

2. Neetronics

Looking for feedback on which system people are running and which is the best / easiest to use / easiest to install.

Running all the wheel sensors John?

John i run a DCCDpro which seems to be the closest to OEM that you can get. The ecu is supposed to be a little bit better than the program from OEM and seems to work fine.

Theres a couple of really fancy ones out there..

MoTeC obviously which i might atcually look at upgrading to at some stage.. And the other i forget right now but both are alot more expensive than the DCCDpro

With that 2006 spec DCCD box. You can easily get away with running the manual controller and only switching it on when you get on a dyno or run down the drags.

Fuck it off and fit a Cusco Tarmac Gear :D

I'd say no. Got nfi about it all to be honest. 6 speed box shoved into GC8 so I'd say no factory sensors etc.

Hah yeah no motec love for me yet, still rolling PowerFC stylez. Do you have the DCCDPro Universal? Easy to install?

Pretty much all I want really. But if I'm going to the trouble to wire something in, may as well spend an extra couple of bucks and get all the bells and whistles (unless it is an absolute headfark!).

Unpowered MY06 6 Speed > Cusco :D

If you're not running the sensors you might aswell just run a manual controller as it wont know whats happening without wheel sensors to run in auto.

if he has abs he should be okay russ, the neetronics wires into the loom & gets signals from factory abs speed sensors and factory g sensor under the centre console, i imagine the dccdpro or spiderdccd controller would be similar

Im running the Spiider DCCDpro and it works great.
I got the full setup which comes with factory Auto/Manual switch and the factory thumbwheel for when shes in Manual mode. I mounted them both in the centre console near the handbrake/mirror controls.
It also comes with a G sensor which i mounted under the centre console too. The unit itself fits under your stereo behind the centre of the dash.

Its easy to install, the trickiest part is getting a wire from the controller unit to your ECU to pick up the Throttle position sensoe wire.
Everything else is easy, I took power from the switched positive of my stereo, the switches come pre plugged and there is ample room under your shifter boot to get the two wires down to the actual gearbox itself.
Oh and the handbrake light cable runs right past it all too.

Very simple to install, works great, you can feel when its doing it thing in both the steering wheel and when you pull the box out of gear between changes.
