Default Mike's Engine Rebuild

Hi All,

After a bad start to my holidays down south, I'm now rebuilding the engine.

Long story short, got about 80km out of Perth down the freeway and started hearing a ticking noise, so I pulled over to check it out and the engine cut out, wouldn't start again. So had to get a tow back home and then towed to the workshop to find out that I've done a big end bearing and the motors stuffed.

Had a bad run with the car. It was supposed to be a project car to build up over time new turbo, engine etc. but it all has happened at once.

All the work is being done by Allstar, so after speaking to Nic and Sean and discussing my options and what I want from the car they told me what i needed.

Link to my driveway thread with what mods the car has already got: http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/your-dri...-my99-wrx.html

The engine is now out of the car and waiting to be rebuilt. Meanwhile while I've got the body at home, I'm planning on cleaning up the engine bay whilst everything is out.

So the list for the build is as follows:
EJ207 Short Block
Cosworth 272 Cams
Cosworth Valve Springs
Cosworth Oil Pump
Re con heads
New Water Pump

Will be looking forward to having the car back with a stronger bottom end and seeing the power figures once it's been run in and tuned.

Will update shortly.

I'd be interested in hearing this thing idle when its all done.
