Hi, has anyone else done this before?
I picked up a version 4 RA instrument cluster because it has the same plugs at the back as my my98 wrx... i plugged it in to do a test run to see if it all goes smoothly, and found things like the indicator lights stay on slightly dull, when i put on the left indicator the check engine light goes on aswell as the temp gauge flicking from stone cold and hitting hot to the beat of the relay... put on the headlights and the check engine and battery light goes on etc. etc.

can anybody help me? does anybody have the diagrams to show me which pins to swap around in the clips?

I am guessing that because the plugs are the same then it should be ok. Given the symptoms you're describing I would look for earthing problems in the cluster. Look
for obvious signs of corrosion.

I think Tiddy may have done this prior to doing the spec C conversion to his 98. I believe the plugs are same but pin outs are different.
