I don't know why you keep asking people which pits they went to, all the pits are the same, it just depends who you get on the day and the mood they're in, how your car presents etc...sounds to me like there's more than just a roll centre kit that you're worried about.
If you wanna drive around with mods that would be considered illegal that's your choice, plenty of people do it, but when it comes to taking it over the pits they all ensure their car is completely legal then change everything back after it's cleared. Some people are lucky and manage to get through the pits with illegal mods which aren't picked up on, others aren't so lucky, but it's the risk you take. If you know your car is illegal in some aspect, either rectify it beforehand or take the gamble of paying the pits fees, failing, then having to rectify it anyway and repaying pits fees.
