Hahaha no - you're fine mate. As long as it isn't too loud it'll pass no worries.

As long as the exhaust complies with the ADR's I can't see it being an issue.
For example, height off the ground, emissions, volume level, etc More on the Australian Design Rules.

Simple answer is NO, they're not illegal, provided:
As already mentioned it must have a cat (ie no straight through pipes, comply with emission laws *or you will have to pay more in carbon tax*), can't be over certain dB within certain RPM (can't remember specifics off the top of my head, but i'm sure another member will), the biggest issue most have is the height from the ground where it runs under the rear suspension although most exhaust systems sold/fitted in Australia are fine, just depends how much the car has been dumped (ie ALK kekeke jokes). Might I suggest just taking your car into a Subaru modifier/performance workshop, like STechnic or any other from the workshop list, where it will take up a few minutes of yours & their time to give the car a quick once over and tell you if there's anything to be worried about regarding the pits, rather than listening to your mate who seems to have not much of an idea of the actual rules/laws/restrictions (not being rude, just based on your other threads about your car, the pits, and "what your mate reckons"). *btw this specific statement is complete bullsh*t *

Every single turbo car in Australia comes with a turbo back exhaust. So yes they are legal.
What is illegal is when they are too loud, do not come with the correct emmissions stuff (cat's, mufflers etc) and are too low to the ground.
